what's your favorite part about being a musician?

There’s no rules. I live the life I want to live without having to please anyone but myself. I can create whatever I want, whenever I want while being the most authentic version me. Love it.

who inspired you to be in the music industry?

Hayley Williams! While my mom had always encouraged me to pursue my passion as a career it took until I saw Paramore live in 2014 to really go, “oh man okay I have to do that.” She melts my brain with her performances. An icon.

what or who inspired your style?

Clothing wise? Steven Tyler, Freddie Mercury, and Zella Day. Literal legends. They have always worn the most wild pieces and that’s how I strive to be. None of my clothes match yet I somehow force it to work.

what is touring like/how does touring out of state differ from touring in state?

Touring when it’s fresh and new is extremely stressful. Not being able to go home to your own bedroom can feel strange and isolated. But after awhile, I’ve become so used to and in love with it that I can’t imagine living any other way. Touring outside of your state to view unseen places is an experience like none other. Every region and area has something to offer that the others may not!

if you had to choose one song other than your own which would define you best?

I thought about this for so long. So so long. There are so many lyrics that I’ve related to in my life but none have every captured exactly me or who I am as a person right on the mark. I’m sorry but I don’t have an answer lol, I guess this is why I write songs in the first place. Maybe Born this Way by Lady Gaga since I love myself flaws and all. I dunno.

what's one of your pre-show "rituals"?

CHUGGING WATER OMG I literally have to pee every 2 minutes before a show. I can’t eat anything with dairy or sugar because it makes my throat all weird causing my voice to crack a lot. Then I just hangout.

can you describe the meaning behind your song Baby Bug?

I wrote the song when I was in middle school dealing with a lot of social pressure to fit in, and facing a lot of consequences if I wasn’t able to. I needed something that made me think, “anyone who doesn’t appreciate me for who I am will be sorry”. Now I use it as a message for anyone with an obstacle to rise above and conquer it by fueling all their love and energy into themselves and their passions.

what has been the biggest roadblock of being a musician?

Money hahaha. Any indie artist you see is out here pretending we aren’t broke. But we are most definitely struggling just so we can experience what we love to do. Almost any vocational problems pertaining to this industry are typically solved with financial assistance.

what has been the best show you've played? which one are you most anticipating?

Just recently I’ve experienced my new favorite concert! Just went on a festival tour that goes to different high schools around the country. I have never seen such wild enthusiasm from kids. I invited about 20 or 30 teenagers up on my stage to dance and mosh with me. Surprised we didn’t fall through the platform. The show I’m anticipating the most is my first New York’s Women That Rock show in Brooklyn! I’m so excited to perform alongside different badass girls.
